San Francisco Exploratorium
Discover a new breed of science museum at this incredible interactive attraction, a funhouse and learning lab with hundreds of participatory exhibits. Raising the bar and redefining what a museum can be, the San Francisco Exploratorium reopened in 2013 with a renovated space and new enthusiasm. Today, you can explore numerous galleries that focus on light, sound, electricity, magnetism, human behavior, weather, landscape, the environment and much more. With hands-on attractions that combine art, science and human perception, this incredible museum lets you tinker, play and explore the world we live in. At the museum you’ll also find an outdoor gallery with fog bridge, Seaglass Restaurant and Seismic Joint Café.

The museum is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 10AM to 5PM, with longer hours on Wednesdays until 10PM. Plan to spend an entire day at this engaging attraction, which covers both Pier 15 and Pier 17. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $19 for youth ages 6-17, teachers, students, seniors 65 and up and people with disabilities. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets to the Exploratorium can be purchased in advance online to reduce your wait time at the entrance.
