Sunday, October 5th
Come join in the fun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Castro District. Now in its 41st year, the Castro Street Fair is a celebration of diversity and the dedicated work of politician and activist Harvey Milk. While Milk - the original "Mayor of the Castro" is no longer with us - his legacy is honored and celebrated in his home San Francisco streets.
Enjoy the distinct diversity of San Francisco, and a full day of food and entertainment. There will be gourmet eats, two stages for live music performances, and dance alleys to get up and moving. The Main Stage will bring energetic bands to play back-to-back at Market and Castro Streets. At 18th Street and Collingwood, you'll come across the Legends Stage with more music all afternoon long.
The Dance Alley features the hottest DJs spinning their mixes to make people move and groove, located in the parking lot behind Magnet. Come over to the Castro Alley, and wear your cowboy hat to the country western party scene. For another unique attraction, check out Barnaby's World of Wonderment for a full block of mystical entertainment. There will be plenty to see (including the people watching) as you stroll along this midway with everything from burlesque to the Bearded Lady. A hundred or so exhibitors will be lining the city streets, so you can do a little shopping too.
