Take part in the world’s greatest sailing competition in San Francisco this summer. America’s Cup is a thrilling, high-stakes race along the waterfront that also features a series of music concerts and a village packed with activities and entertainment. Whether you’ve always dreamed of sailing the world, you’re a sports fan looking for something different, or you just want to check out the action, you’ll find it at America’s Cup Pavilion in San Francisco.
Sailing races take place several days a week, with special competitions for youth and numerous matches on each day. It all culminates to the America’s Cup Finals, which begin on September 7 and last for the remainder of the competition.
Along with sailboat races, this giant event brings a series of exciting outdoor concerts to Piers 27 and 29 in America’s Cup Park. With a capacity of 9,000, the outdoor arena will host live music action into October, with performances by big-name talent including Steely Dan, Heart, Journey and Fall Out Boy.
The racing and concerts take place along the waterfront at America’s Cup Village, which features wide views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. Watch the start of each race along the shoreline, and find other activities and entertainment like photo booths, remote control boats, historic sailing exhibitions and vendors for food and drink.
