We believe that nothing beats sprawling out, or at least kicking back on a patio, wharf, marina or boat with sparkling waters all around and unobstructed views of Alcatraz or the Golden Gate bridge. Check out this list of our favorite spots to take in The Bay and maybe a drink or two, too!
Mission Rock Resort
Mission Rock Resort is perfect for brunch, Eggs Benedict and a perfectly blended cocktail. Just take the muni to Potrero Hill! This place is locally famous for its New Year's Day Breakfast of Champions, an all-out party that brings together locals and people from out of town and out of country! (The party, in recent years, has been held on Utah Street and Mighty dance club.)
Head to the tried and true Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 where a little jaunt will lead you to the ever elusive, miniature Forbes Island, complete with restaurant, bar and a lighthouse! Even in the heart of tourist country, this place is a local hidden jewel. Plus, the food is great, too!
Captain Kirk's San Francisco Sailing
Want to say "good-bye" to the shore all together and get out onto the water? Captain Kirk's San Francisco Sailing does just this with chartered sails. Hold your corporate offsite, engagement party or birthday with the amazing crew out on the balmy, salty sea. Feel like a true adventurer as you eat, drink and be merry all while sailing under the Golden Gate and around Angel Island; you may even see a dolphin or two!
