The Ferry Building Marketplace is an energetic collection of local San Francisco area farmers, artisan producers, and independent food businesses. Located at the foot of the Ferry Building, the marketplace offers farm to table restaurants and locally owned cafés serving diverse local cuisine.

Farmer’s Market

The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is located front of the Ferry Building and the rear plaza overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Smaller markets occupy the front market on Tuesdays and Thursday. Held in both front and rear of the Ferry Building, the Saturday market is one of the most noted farmers market in the United States. The market offers vegetable, fruits, flowers, herbs, regional artisan cheeses and breads, meats and eggs from smaller local farmers. There is also an assortment of prepared foods for those that want to stop for refreshment while shopping.

The Ferry Building Marketplace offers restaurants and cafés that serve local cuisine representative of the quality and cultural diversity of San Francisco. The Market Street shops at the foot of the historic Ferry Building offer everything from artisan cheeses to the freshest of local fish. The restaurant and bar that anchors the Ferry Building, MarketBar, offers chef inspired seasonal Mediterranean food consisting mostly of farm to table ingredients sold at the Marketplace and the weekly Farmer's Market.
