The Nutcracker in San Francisco
No holiday season would be complete without a performance of
the Nutcracker, a classic ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic musical score.
Presented in sparkling majesty by the San Francisco Ballet at the historic War
Memorial Opera House, the Nutcracker has been an established holiday tradition
since the San Francisco Ballet first performed it in 1944. Today, this classic
holiday program features dazzling costumes, magical sets, delightful music, and
spectacular professional ballet dancers performing the cherished Nutcracker for
audience members young and old to enjoy. The San Francisco Ballet will perform
the Nutcracker from December 7th through December 28th,
with evening performances at 7pm and matinee performances at 2pm. Families with
younger children are encouraged to attend one of the six special family
performances and enjoy a complimentary gift, beverages and sweet treats during
the intermission, and an opportunity to take photos with the dancers before the
show. Tickets for the Nutcracker range from $20-$270 each, depending on seat
