The field of sports medicine is always changing, game to game, and season to season. Hosted by our World Series Championship team, this year's Sports Medicine Conference in San Francisco brings today's most respected healthcare professionals in the field to discuss what's new for 2 days this January. Welcoming physical therapists and trainers, team physicians and conditioning coaches, voices from across the field gather for what promises to be an informative experience. Students may like to know that the baseball-centric conference is accredited to offer 1.3 CEUs or 13 credit hours for attendance as well. Many presenters are from the SF Giants Training and Medical Staff, with hands-on demonstrations on the field of AT&T Park. Some topics to be covered include:
  • Shoulder & Elbow Injuries
  • Throwing Programs
  • Hip & Hand Injuries
  • Strength & Conditioning
  • Concussion Rehab
  • Warm-Ups
  • Pitching
  • Hitting

About AT&T Park

Saturday's portion of the conference will be held at the home of the 2014 World Series Champions, the San Francisco Giants. The first pitch was thrown at AT&T Park in 2000, and it's been a local landmark ever since. Scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Area accent the field, along with an 80-foot slide, 9-foot statue of Willie Mays, and a 26-foot baseball mitt, just 1 mile from Hotel Griffon.
