San Francisco Exploratorium at Palace of Fine Arts It’s the end of an era for the stunning Exploratorium at the fabulous San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts as it packs up and heads to a new home on January 2, 2013. The San Francisco Exploratorium is an interactive center devoted to ongoing experiments in science and art and covers a wide range of programs and activities where kids and adults of all ages can easily spend an entire day learning and having fun.

Situated in the magnificent Palace of the Fine Arts in San Francisco, this incredible location offers stunning early 20th century architecture surrounded by a lovely lagoon that’s unlike anywhere else in the city. On the final day (January 2) there will be a fabulous celebration with bell ringings and special ceremonies as well as free admission for everyone to mark this historic event.

  • Wednesday, December 26 – Wednesday, January 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, December 24, 2012 (Christmas Eve) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 (Christmas Day).
