Bring in the 2014 holiday season at PIER 39 in San Francisco on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23. That's when the Tree Lighting Celebration takes place. The height of festiveness, the annual event begins at 6:00 p.m. each night and features an inspiring 60-foot tree that will be covered with tons of twinkling lights, an abundance of awesome ornaments, and bows. With the skyline of San Francisco in the background, the views can't be beat. What you can also expect to see are special guest visitors from the Disneyland(r) Resort. These lovable, recognizable characters will be on hand to greet young and old alike and to make the evening unforgettable.
While you're at PIER 39, you'll want to take advantage of the array of family-friendly attractions, including the Aquarium of the Bay, Bay Theater (daily film programs), San Francisco Carousel, Magowan's Infinite Mirror Maze, the 7D Experience (a gigantic movie screen with state-of-the-art 3D technology), the musical stairs (an interactive art exhibit that makes real music with your help), lovable sea lions, and talented street performers.
