Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival San Francisco - October 3-5 Music and community is the focus at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, a free three-day event with no sponsors and no commercials. Funded by SF venture capitalist Warren Hellman, this popular, family-friendly festival takes place in Golden Gate Park and features multiple stages of sound. Groove to a wide array of genres, not only bluegrass but also rock, folk, world music and a little bit of everything else. The 2014 schedule for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival is:

* Friday, October 3 from 12PM to 7PM, plus kids program 10:30AM to 12PM
* Saturday, October 4 from 11AM to 7PM
* Sunday, October 5 from 11AM to 7PM

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a free event, so you don\'t need any tickets. Arrive early to claim the best spots, and bring your coolers, blankets and short-back chairs to enjoy the music in comfort. Gates open at 10AM. It all goes down at Hellman Hollow (formerly Speedway Meadows), Lindley & Marx Meadows in Golden Gate Park - just 4.2 miles from our the Hotel Griffon.
