San Francisco Fleet Week

San Francisco Fleet Week
Hear the powerful roar of jet engines soaring over San Francisco Bay and see the Air Force F-22 Raptor to make its first appearance at San Francisco Fleet Week. Celebrating over 100 years of US Naval Aviation, Fleet Week in San Francisco is an exciting event honoring America’s armed forces. Join the celebration at the viewing areas at Marina Green, Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Warf. Enjoy military band performances, interactive exhibits, military vehicles and displays, the Parade of Ships and a famous Air Show with the Blue Angels.

A tradition since 1981, Fleet Week in San Francisco draws millions to the waterfront to enjoy the Parade of Navy ships that kicks off this popular Bay Area event. A highlight of Fleet Week is the spectacular aerial show that includes awesome stunts and formations by the Navy Blue Angels. Following the Parade of Ships, you can go on a free tour of U.S and Canadian navy ships along the San Francisco waterfront on Piers 27 and 30-32, including destroyers, frigates, and coastal defense vessels. As the sun sets over San Francisco Bay, the waterfront lights up with nighttime entertainment.

San Francisco Fleet Week 2012 is October 4-8.
