Battle of the Bay: Giants vs. AsThere’s just something about baseball on a warm summer afternoon and all the more exciting when it’s a classic rivalry. The Battle of the Bay is one such rivalry, though a friendlier one than most. The San Francisco Giants have been battling the Oakland Athletics for over two decades, and the matching has been amazingly even, with the As having won 48 games to the Giants’ 47, though the Giants are the current World Series champions.
From May 27-30, watch the next installments of the Bay Bridge Series. Right now, both historic teams are at the top of their leagues, and each has defeated the other at least once this year. The first two games take place at the O.co Coliseum, home of the As, and the last two will be held at AT&T Park, home of the Giants. Tickets at O.co range from $15 to $96, and tickets at AT&T Park range from $25 to $250. BART, the Bay Area’s public transportation system, runs to both stadiums or you can walk to AT&T from the Hotel Griffon!
